A taut lacquer finish, with no brush marks.
Woodwork is the most heavily used part of a home. Renovating it requires meticulous stripping or keying, products suited to wood and a drip-free application.
Oak staircases, old moulded doors, beams to lighten or windows to refresh: we restore the nobility of wood with lacquer, stain or varnish.

Can a varnished staircase be repainted?
Yes, after keying and a suitable bonding undercoat. We use special floor and stair lacquers that withstand foot traffic.
Does an old door need to be fully stripped?
Not always. If the existing coats are sound, keying is enough; otherwise we strip it back to a clean surface.
How long does lacquer take to dry?
An acrylic lacquer is touch-dry within a few hours, but it takes several days to reach full hardness.
Do you travel outside Maine-et-Loire?
Yes, we work throughout Western France from our base in Saint-Pierre-Montlimart.
